Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities


Content Strategy & Development:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with Basec Africa’s brand and business goals.
  • Research, plan, and create high-quality, engaging, and SEO-friendly content for websites, blogs, social media, email marketing, and other platforms.
  • Ensure all content maintains a consistent brand voice, tone, and messaging across channels.
  • Manage and optimize website content, landing pages, and multimedia materials.


Social Media & Digital Marketing:

  • Oversee and manage social media accounts, creating engaging content to grow brand awareness and engagement.
  • Develop content calendars and manage daily postings across social platforms.
  • Work with the marketing team to develop and implement digital campaigns, influencer partnerships, and paid ads.


Content Creation & Editing:

  • Write, edit, and proofread various content formats, including articles, newsletters, case studies, and product descriptions.
  • Create visual content strategies in collaboration with graphic designers and video editors.
  • Develop scripts for video marketing, promotional campaigns, and brand storytelling.


SEO & Website Management:

  • Implement SEO best practices to optimize content for search engine rankings.
  • Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis to drive organic traffic.
  • Work closely with web developers to update and enhance website content.


Performance Analysis & Reporting:

  • Track and analyze content performance using tools like Google Analytics, social media insights, and SEO software.
  • Use data-driven insights to refine and improve content strategy.
  • Prepare reports on content reach, engagement, and effectiveness.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Proven experience 1+ years in content creation, digital marketing, or content management.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Knowledge of SEO, social media marketing, and digital advertising.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, Shopify, or HubSpot.
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools (Canva, Photoshop) and video editing software is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
