Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Food & Pastry Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of savory dishes, including snacks, appetizers, and light meals. Bake pastries such as cookies, brownies, cakes, and other sweet treats for guests.
- Menu Development: Collaborate with the Food & Beverage Manager to develop a menu that caters to cinema guests, balancing savory and sweet options that complement the cinema’s offerings.
- Recipe Adherence: Follow established recipes and portion control guidelines to maintain consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Inventory & Stock Management: Manage the supply of ingredients, including ordering and storing products. Ensure freshness and proper stock levels of both perishable and non-perishable items.
- Hygiene & Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Ensure all food preparation and storage meet food hygiene standards.
- Customer-Centric Service: Provide customers with fresh and well-presented food options, ensuring quick turnaround times to accommodate the fast-paced nature of the cinema environment.
- Special Event Catering: Prepare specialty items and custom pastries for VIP screenings, private events, and special cinema occasions. Create themed desserts or dishes for movie premieres or events.
- Kitchen Efficiency: Ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen, working quickly and efficiently to meet demand during peak hours and movie sessions.
- Quality Control: Conduct quality checks on all food items prepared, ensuring every dish is up to standard in taste and presentation before being served.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the cinema’s concession stand team and other staff to ensure seamless service between the kitchen and customer-facing areas.
Requirements:
