Job Description/Requirements

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced COREN-registered engineer to join our growing engineering consulting firm. This role is central to our operations, providing technical oversight, regulatory sign-offs, and engineering guidance on critical projects—particularly those involving LPG plant, calibration, pressure testing, and EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) services.

Success in this role means:

  • Delivering timely engineering oversight on projects and documents
  • Ensuring our services meet regulatory and COREN standards
  • Supporting project execution while helping build our firm’s credibility in the oil, gas, and infrastructure sectors

This position plays a key role in fulfilling our obligations to regulatory bodies like NMDPRA and BPP, and in positioning our firm as a credible player in Nigeria’s energy and infrastructure space.

Responsibilities

  • Review and approve engineering documentation submitted for regulatory permits and licenses (e.g. LPG Plant licensing, calibration reports)
  • Serve as Engineering Signatory on compliance documents required by NMDPRA, NUPRC and other agencies
  • Provide technical oversight for pressure testing, UTM, calibration, and plant construction projects
  • Supervise field teams remotely or on-site when required, ensuring technical quality and safety compliance
  • Guide the company on engineering best practices, quality assurance, and statutory compliance
  • Support bid documentation, engineering designs, and project proposals for government and private sector clients
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director and other team leads to grow the company’s technical portfolio
  • Participate in technical partnerships and capacity building initiatives for the company

Qualifications

  • Must be COREN Registered (active)
  • Minimum of 5 years engineering experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Civil, or Industrial sectors
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance processes for NMDPRA, DPR, SON, and related bodies
  • Experience in LPG Plant design, calibration, or inspection is an added advantage
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working on a flexible, project-based arrangement
