The Senior Civil Engineer will be responsible for leading and managing civil engineering projects from conception to completion. This role involves overseeing the design, planning, and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and mentoring junior engineers.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Lead and manage civil engineering projects from inception through to completion, ensuring all project milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resources.
- Monitor project progress, adjust timelines, and resolve any issues that arise.
Design and Planning:
- Prepare and review detailed civil engineering designs for infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, drainage systems, and utilities.
- Ensure designs meet all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct feasibility studies, environmental impact assessments, and risk analysis.
- Review technical drawings and blueprints and provide recommendations for improvements.
Technical Expertise:
- Provide expert advice on civil engineering concepts, methods, and practices.
- Use industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, or similar) to produce designs, plans, and technical specifications.
- Oversee site inspections and construction processes to ensure the quality and safety of the work.
- Ensure all work is compliant with safety and environmental standards.
Mentoring and Leadership:
- Mentor and train junior engineers and other team members, providing guidance and feedback to enhance their technical skills.
- Supervise the work of junior engineers, ensuring high-quality deliverables and compliance with standards.
- Provide leadership and direction to project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Quality Control and Risk Management:
- Ensure that all engineering work is performed in accordance with company quality standards and best practices
- Identify potential risks related to the project, implement mitigation strategies, and maintain a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor the quality of work and address any concerns.
Communication and Reporting:
- Regularly report on project status, including progress, risks, and key issues, to senior management and stakeholders.
- Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
- Attend project meetings, providing expert opinions and feedback on engineering matter
- Performing all quality functions relating to the role in accordance with the organization’s QMS
Requirements:
- Must be COREN registered
- 6 years experience
- Degree in a related field
