Job Summary
We are looking to hire a Corporate Service Specialist who will spearhead GDL’s efforts to engage and support African businesses in leveraging our comprehensive warehouse, logistics, and marketing services. The role involves sourcing for and securing Clients, building and maintaining strong relationships with these clients, and ensuring seamless execution of services to facilitate efficient export and trade operations in the USA. The Specialist will preferably be based in one of the identified countries and will be assigned a territory.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Business Development:
- Identify and target potential African businesses that can benefit from GDL's services.
- Conduct market research to understand the needs and challenges of African businesses looking to export and trade in the USA.
- Convert leads to Clients
- Meet and exceed KPI Targets
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders in African businesses.
- Provide consultative support to clients, helping them understand how GDL’s services can enhance their operations and market reach
- Serve as a point of contact for clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Service Coordination and Execution:
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of services to African businesses.
- Marketing and Promotion:
- Represent GDL at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our services and network with potential clients.
- Develop strategies to promote GDL’s offerings and attract new business.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare reports on market trends, client feedback, and service performance.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- 1 year of experience in business development, sales, or logistics, preferably within an international context.
- Understanding of the African business landscape and export processes is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Few national and international travel may be required
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement effective business development strategies.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify and address client needs and challenges.
