The Cost Engineer is responsible for the planning, development, and control of project budgets, cost estimates, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle. This role supports project management by providing accurate cost data, forecasts, and variance analyses to ensure the project remains within budget and meets financial objectives.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.
- Monitor project expenditures and compare actual costs with budgeted amounts to identify variances.
- Provide regular cost reports and updates to project management and stakeholders.
- Support cost control processes including change management, cash flow forecasting, and cost risk analysis.
- Collaborate with planners and schedulers to align cost and schedule data.
- Assist in evaluating contractor and vendor cost proposals, invoices, and claims.
- Support preparation of project cost baseline and manage updates based on project changes.
- Ensure compliance with financial procedures and reporting standards.
- Identify trends, issues, and cost drivers that may impact project budget and recommend corrective actions.
- Participate in project reviews and contribute to lessons learned.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
- BSc. Degree in Engineering
