Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Create visual designs for digital products, marketing materials, and brand assets
- Develop user interfaces that combine aesthetic appeal with functional excellence
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to implement designs
- Establish and maintain design systems and style guides
- Produce illustrations, animations, and other visual elements
- Conduct user research to inform design decisions
- Stay current with design trends while developing distinctive approaches
- UX designs and documentation.
Requirements:
- A designer who sees beyond aesthetics to how design shapes user experiences
- Someone who combines creativity with strategic thinking
- A visual innovator ready to define a distinctive design language rooted in African perspectives
- Understanding of UI/UX design principles
- Knowledge of responsive design and cross-platform considerations
- Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite Canva Figma Sketch)
- Understanding of accessibility guidelines for design
- Understanding of Brand Identity Creativity to develop innovative visual solutions
- Communication skills to present and explain design decisions
- Attention to detail in design execution Knowledge of animation and interactive design principles
Contract Period: 3-6 months probation with potential for full-time employment
