What does the job involve
- Manage field sales operatives to achieve growth goals for us across Nigeria
- Partner with management to develop best in class operations model for our Sales operations across all business lines
- Utilize data analytics to inform decision-making and strategy
- Set and report KPIs for sales and customer experience teams
- Partner with Products and Engineering teams to drive technology enabled solutions across all sales operational processes
- Source, onboard, train and coach new field sales operatives across the organization
- Collaborate with cross-functional team to develop and implement omni-channel strategy for us
- Architect and execute innovative operational and sales strategies that help us build the largest network of auto part merchants and partners in Africa.
- Work with field sales operatives to achieve GMV, revenue, retention and profitability targets
- Visit all channel partners regularly to understand customer pain points and build strong relationships with partners
- Report weekly performance of senior management
- Build world class responsive customer support operation to maintain and manage relationship with other partners (wholesalers, retailers, etc)
- Help develop, implement and drive adoption of the company’s verification and monitoring operations to enable sustainable growth
- Develop and test new strategies to drive maximum growth
- Work in partnership with other departments to generate, evaluate and test new innovative ideas that reinforce our market leadership and unlocks added value to its customers Anything else as required by your manager
- A proven winner with minimum 10 years experience in building and leading retail sales operations at a top Oil Marketing Company (OMC), or a multinational or high growth startup such as coca cola, Procter and Gamble, Unilever with proven results
- Experience building route to market and sales operations targeting the informal trader market
- An exceptional communicator and coach.
- Astute analytical skills and ability to make sense or large data sets to drive decision making
- A visionary thinker, always a step ahead, anticipating market shifts and aligning strategies accordingly.
- Resilient, adaptable, and driven, leader with a relentless pursuit of excellence and an unwavering commitment to achieving the extraordinary.
- Bachelor's degree in business or other discipline from a reputable school
- Superior problem solving skills with an ability to see around corners and come up with unconventional solutions to the hardest problems
- A leader with experience leading turnarounds at companies
