The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for ensuring exceptional customer experiences in a vibrant restaurant lounge and club at a beautiful waterside location in Lagos. The CSR will be the first point of contact for guests and will play a key role in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, addressing customer needs, handling inquiries, and ensuring high standards of service delivery. This role requires strong communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued.
- Assist with seating arrangements and provide information about the lounge and club’s amenities, menu offerings, and services.
- Engage with guests throughout their visit, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
- Offer recommendations based on guest preferences and assist in navigating the menu and drinks selection.
- Take accurate orders for food and beverages, ensuring clarity on special requests or dietary restrictions.
- Communicate these orders efficiently to kitchen and bar staff.
- Address guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, striving to resolve issues to their satisfaction while adhering to company policies.
- Actively upsell menu items, daily specials, and promotional offers.
- Encourage guests to explore the club’s additional services, such as private bookings or VIP sections.
- Accurately process customer orders and payments, providing receipts, and handling cash or card transactions in compliance with company protocols.
- Ensure the lounge and club area is clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times.
- Assist with setting up for events or functions as needed.
- Work closely with other team members, including servers, bartenders, kitchen staff, and management, to ensure smooth service and efficient operations.
- Assist with managing reservations, events, and VIP bookings, ensuring guests have a seamless experience during special events, private parties, or themed nights.
- Adhere to safety, hygiene, and regulatory guidelines, ensuring a safe environment for both guests and staff.
- Ensure all alcoholic beverages are served responsibly in accordance with legal regulations.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in a hospitality or food and beverage environment (restaurant, lounge, or nightclub).
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to engage with a diverse clientele.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Proficient in basic cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Knowledge of food and beverage offerings, especially cocktails, wine, and popular club dishes, is a plus.
- Friendly, approachable, and confident demeanor with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods, carry trays, and lift moderate weight.
- Fluent in English (additional languages such as Yoruba or Pidgin are a plus).
- A secondary school diploma or equivalent; a diploma in hospitality or customer service is an advantage.
Working Conditions:
- The role requires evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, as the restaurant lounge and club operates in the late hours.
