Cyber Security Instructor

Responsibilities:

• Create and deliver structured, engaging content for Cyber Security, tailored to diverse skill levels.
• Facilitate learning that bridges foundational concepts with practical, real-world security applications.
• Offer personalised mentorship, support, and feedback to students to ensure their understanding of key security principles and application of skills, fostering a growth-oriented learning environment.
• Design assessments that effectively measure students' skill levels and knowledge.
• Regularly update content and teaching methods to keep pace with advancements in the cyber security industry.
• Provide career advice, study materials, and guidance on professional certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP) to help students build confidence and prepare for cyber security roles.
• Gather and analyse student feedback to enhance course content, delivery, and instructional techniques.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong expertise with evidence of completed cyber security projects may suffice if no degree is held in a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cyber Security, with a focus on hands-on skills and preferably with teaching or mentoring experience.
• Proficiency in key security concepts, tools, and practices (e.g., network security, vulnerability assessment, ethical hacking, incident response, firewalls, SIEM).
• Ability to clearly communicate complex cyber security concepts and practices to learners with varying skill levels.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with a dedication to supporting and inspiring students.

Additional Skills:

• Experience in online course delivery or with educational technology platforms.
