The Data Processor is responsible for managing and processing data related to 3D laser scanning and geospatial solutions. Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

Data Entry and Management:

  • Enter and update data in various databases and software systems with precision and accuracy.
  • Ensure all data entries are consistent with project specifications and standards.
  • Regularly backup data to prevent loss and maintain data security.


Data Processing:

  • Process raw data obtained from 3D laser scanning devices and geospatial tools into formats suitable for analysis and reporting.
  • Convert complex data sets into understandable and usable formats for project teams and clients.
  • Apply data processing techniques to clean and validate data, removing any inconsistencies or inaccuracies.


Data Verification:

  • Perform routine checks to ensure data integrity and correctness.
  • Identify and correct data discrepancies or errors by cross-referencing with original sources or project documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve data issues and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.


Reporting:

  • Generate detailed reports and visualizations based on processed data, including charts, graphs, and tables.
  • Prepare comprehensive summaries and insights to support decision-making and project evaluation.
  • Ensure reports are accurate, timely, and meet the requirements of internal and external stakeholders.


Collaboration:

  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other departments to understand data requirements and provide support.
  • Participate in project meetings to provide updates on data processing progress and address any data-related issues
  • Assist in training team members on data-related processes and tools.


Documentation:

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of data processing procedures, methodologies, and updates.
  • Create and manage records of data processing tasks, including data sources, processing steps, and outcomes.
  • Ensure documentation is clear, accurate, and accessible for future reference.


System Maintenance:

  • Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of data processing systems, including software and hardware.
  • Monitor system performance and report any issues to the IT department for resolution.
  • Participate in system upgrades and testing to ensure compatibility and functionality.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Geography, Engineering, or a related field.
  •  Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in data processing, data management, or a related field. Experience with 3D laser scanning and geospatial data processing is preferred.


Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in data processing and management software such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, and GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).
  • Familiarity with 3D laser scanning and geospatial data processing tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools and report generation software.


Analytical Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
  • Ability to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in data.


Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with team members.
  • Ability to explain technical data concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.


Problem-Solving Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving abilities to address and resolve data processing issues efficiently.
  • Ability to think critically and make decisions based on data analysis and project needs.


Organizational Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple data processing tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain thorough documentation and manage data records effectively.
