Data Science Instructor

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver a data science curriculum on R programming, statistical analysis, and machine learning.
• Teach students how to clean, process, and visualize data using tidyverse, ggplot2, dplyr, and Shiny.
• Guide students through machine learning concepts, including supervised and unsupervised learning, regression, classification, and clustering.
• Provide real-world case studies and projects to help students develop practical experience.
• Teach data handling techniques, working with large datasets, and APIs.
• Assist students in building data-driven solutions and applying data science in various domains, including finance, healthcare, and business analytics.
• Keep curriculum updated with the latest tools, libraries, and industry trends.
• Provide mentorship and career guidance to help students transition into the industry.
• Foster an interactive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, or AI.
• Strong proficiency in R programming, including data manipulation (dplyr, tidyr), visualization (ggplot2, Shiny), and machine learning (caret, mlr3, tidymodels).
• Hands-on experience with real-world datasets and practical applications of R in business.
• Experience with SQL, cloud computing (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and big data tools is a plus.
• Prior experience in teaching, mentoring, or instructional design is highly desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in a simple manner.
