Job Summary

Caresgate Africa Ltd, a leading e-commerce company in the FMCG sector, is seeking a motivated and reliable Delivery Sales Driver to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering products to our customers while promoting sales and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role requires a blend of excellent driving skills, customer service, and a strong understanding of our product offerings.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

Product Delivery:

  • Safely and efficiently deliver products to customers within assigned routes.
  • Ensure timely delivery of orders according to the schedule.
  • Verify the accuracy of delivery orders, including product quality and quantity.


Sales & Customer Engagement:

  • Promote and upsell products to customers during deliveries.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  • Provide product information and suggest new or complementary products to customers.


Inventory Management:

  • Manage and account for the inventory in the delivery vehicle.
  • Conduct routine checks on stock levels and report any discrepancies to the logistics team.


Vehicle Maintenance:

  • Perform regular maintenance checks on the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Report any mechanical issues or damages to the fleet management team immediately.


Compliance & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, customer interactions, and sales.
  • Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and road traffic regulations.
  • Submit daily reports on delivery activities, sales performance, and any customer feedback.


Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a delivery driver, preferably in the FMCG or e-commerce industry.
  • Proven track record in sales or customer service is an advantage.


Skills:

  • Excellent driving skills with a valid driver’s license.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Familiarity with the local geography and road networks.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy products (up to 50 lbs).
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
  • Prolonged periods of driving.


Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position, Saturday Work inclusive.
  • Extensive travel within the delivery region.
