We are hiring for the role of Deputy Operations Manager
Salary: 290,000 Net
Location: Abuja
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Management:
- Maintain master tracker for vehicle utilization and operation fleet across Nigeria. Track, reconcile, and top up fuel cards, manage fleet and maintenance for all regions.
- Record and report vehicle breakages, and maintenance issues, and liaise with service providers.
- Handle vehicle administrative tasks, including paperwork, emergency equipment, and medical supplies.
- Manage finance petty cash, including weekend top-ups and reconciliation.
- Distribute out-of-state allowances and other cash allocations as needed.
- Maintain logs of office and operational expenses, update NAV for petty cash and travel expenses.
- Provide administrative support to journey management staff and greet clients to foster
- relationships.
- Plan and coordinate travel, hotel bookings, and meeting schedules; follow up as needed.
- Organize, order, and manage journey operation supplies (e.g., uniforms, bedding, lubricants).
- Staff Coordination & Training:
- Facilitate and schedule training sessions for operational staff across regions.
- Plan leave schedules and provide regular communication updates.
- Sort and distribute mail, maintain files for corporate documents, and manage spreadsheets for expense and operational logs.
- Assist with incident investigations, reporting maintenance issues, and conducting operational audits.
- B.Sc. or its equivalent in Economics, Social sciences or any related field.
- A strong verbal and written communicator in English
- Experience in Security management or GardaWorld SOP and management systems.
- A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in the areas of Nigeria.
- Excellent IT literacy essential.
- A great sense of humour.
- Demonstrable experience in report writing and analysis.
- Excellent social, analytical and diplomacy skills.
- Sound understanding of risk management principles.
- Familiarity with the philosophy, priorities, and principles of development organizations
- Experience in staff capacity development, training, and knowledge transfer.
