Role Description

This full-time on-site role is for a Design Engineer at Soventix GmbH located in Lagos. As a Design Engineer, your role will be to provide support to the technical team and grow your technical expertise in the renewable energy field with a focus on co-located solar and energy storage projects throughout Europe and Africa.

It is Soventix goal to work according to international best practice guidelines, provide company-wide technical support and support continual improvement of the business.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering Graduate
• Strong multi-skilled individual with attention to detail
• 2 Years experience in the design and delivery of Solar PV and Energy storage projects (desired but not essential)
• Superb numerical and analytical skills
• Ability to cope with change and ambiguity
• Fluent spoken and written English (French is a bonus)
• Willingness to travel in Europe and Africa
• Capability to issue high level reporting
• Experience with international IEC standards is beneficial
• Experience with Autocad and PVSyst
• Medium voltage and protection coordination experience is beneficial
• Desire to work towards professional engineering registration
• Ability to work independently and be a teamwork advocate
