Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor patients for signs of withdrawal and medical complications
- Administer medications as prescribed to manage withdrawal symptoms
- Record and evaluate vital signs and patient responses to treatment
- Provide emotional support and patient education throughout the detox process
- Collaborate with physicians, mental health professionals, and support staff
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records
- Follow established detox protocols and safety guidelines
- Respond quickly to medical emergencies and escalate care when needed
- Educate patients and families about post-detox treatment options and recovery support
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Prior experience in addiction treatment, mental health, or acute care preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and crisis management skills
- Excellent communication, empathy, and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
