DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast, reliable, and automated software delivery.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline the software development lifecycle.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
• Monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to ensure high availability, scalability, and security.
• Implement and manage containerization and orchestration solutions (Docker, Kubernetes) to optimize application deployment.
• Develop and maintain scripts and tools to automate repetitive tasks and improve system efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with security best practices and regulatory requirements in all DevOps processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application performance, deployment, and infrastructure.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement within the DevOps team.
• Provide on-call support as needed to ensure the availability and reliability of production systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, ideally within the financial services industry.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.).
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
• Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with financial systems, trading platforms, or payment processing solutions.
• Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security measures in DevOps processes.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools.
• Certification in relevant technologies or cloud platforms (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Professional DevOps Engineer, etc.).

Location: Lagos State.
