Digital Publishing Specialist

About Us: Milestone Publishers Limited is a respected publishing house based in Owerri, Nigeria, specializing in academic and non-academic book publishing. We are seeking a talented Digital Publishing Specialist to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled Digital Publishing Specialist responsible for our publishing process's technical and creative aspects, from manuscript formatting to cover design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Format and typeset manuscripts according to publishing standards
• Design compelling book covers and interior graphics
• Perform thorough proofreading and editing of documents
• Create and manipulate images for both print and digital publications
• Manage digital asset libraries and maintain file organization
• Assist in maintaining office computer systems and networks

Required Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong knowledge of desktop publishing principles
• Excellent typing speed and accuracy
• Sharp attention to detail and proofreading skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Familiarity with Canva and other design tools
• Basic understanding of computer network maintenance
• Knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting
• Previous experience in publishing or related field
• Relevant degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design, or related field
