Driver

Responsibilities:

• Safely transport goods, passengers, or equipment to designated locations in a timely manner.
• Ensure the vehicle is in good working condition by performing regular maintenance checks, including oil, tire pressure, and brakes.
• Adhere to all road safety regulations and traffic laws while driving.
• Plan routes to avoid traffic congestion, roadblocks, or delays, ensuring timely deliveries or pick-ups.
• Keep records of vehicle logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any maintenance performed.
• Assist passengers or load and unload goods when necessary.
• Maintain the cleanliness and overall condition of the vehicle, both interior and exterior.
• Report any mechanical issues or vehicle damage to the appropriate personnel immediately.
• Comply with company policies and procedures regarding transportation, safety, and documentation.
• Demonstrate professionalism when interacting with clients, passengers, or other road users.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of driving experience with a valid driver’s license.
• Minimum of an OND or equivalent educational qualification.
• Proven knowledge of road safety regulations, traffic laws, and vehicle maintenance.
• Strong defensive driving skills and the ability to handle unforeseen road situations.
• Good communication skills for interacting with clients, passengers, and team members.
• Ability to follow instructions and routes accurately.
• Punctual, reliable, and able to maintain a calm demeanor under pressure.
• Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance, such as checking fluids, and tire pressure, and troubleshooting minor issues.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, or long-distance trips, as needed.
• Physical ability to assist with loading and unloading goods when required.
