Job Description
The data support officer will be responsible for data management including data entry. Under the technical guidance of Manager Program & Communication, responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Data Collection and Management:
Develop, implement, and maintain effective data collection systems for programs and projects. Ensure timely and accurate data collection, entry, storage, filtering & validation Work with field teams to collect and verify data, ensuring completeness and consistencyCollect monthly reports of service providers and cross verify utilized and available stock against the store releases and reconcile with stock register at ware house.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
Compile, analyze, and interpret data for use in program planning and decision-making. Prepare regular reports (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly) based on data collected and analyzed. Ensure data is presented in a clear, concise, and actionable format for internal and external stakeholders.
Identify gaps and inconsistencies in the data and provide recommendations for improvements. Support data validation processes in collaboration with field staff and program teams. Conduct supportive supervisory visits to CHWs at field to assure accurate reporting Plan and execute regular spot checks of data at different level from field to health facility and district level
- Training and Capacity Building:
Train staff on data collection tools, reporting procedures, and the importance of data integrity. Provide ongoing support and mentorship to team members on data-related tasks.
- Stakeholder Coordination:
Collaborate with internal teams, partners, and external stakeholders to ensure efficient data sharing and reporting. Respond to ad hoc data requests from program managers, donors, and other stakeholders.
- Compliance and Standards:
Ensure all reporting meets organizational standards and complies with donor and regulatory requirements.
- Assist program officer in review of program expenses
- Assist Program officer with arrangement of meetings, workshops, etc., specifically coordination with vendors, etc.
- Completes additional assigned tasks as required.
