Driver

Responsibilities:

• Operate a vehicle to transport passengers, goods, or materials to designated locations.
• Plan and follow the most efficient routes, ensuring timely arrivals.
• Ensure safe operation of the vehicle and follow traffic laws and regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle, including checking tire pressure, oil levels, and other essential systems.
• Report any mechanical issues or vehicle damage to management.
• Maintain a clean and well-presented vehicle at all times, both inside and out.
• Provide a high level of service to passengers, including assistance with loading/unloading or providing any necessary information.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with passengers or clients.
• Handle customer complaints or concerns in a calm and professional manner.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, delivery schedules, and any incidents or delays.
• Comply with company policies regarding timekeeping, reporting, and vehicle use.
• Ensure all required documentation (e.g., delivery forms, receipts) is completed correctly.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines, road safety regulations, and legal requirements (e.g., licensing, insurance).
• Ensure the vehicle is equipped with necessary safety equipment (e.g., first-aid kits, fire extinguishers).
• Participate in regular safety training and compliance programs.
• Assist with loading or unloading goods as required (if applicable).
• Perform minor vehicle maintenance tasks such as checking fluids or changing tires.
• Collaborate with logistics or dispatch teams to optimize routes and delivery schedules.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a driver
• Familiarity with Abuja roads
• Must be able to use GPS or Maps to navigate around the city.
• Valid driver's license is compulsory
