Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Transport goods safely and efficiently to designated locations according to schedules.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal working condition.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation, including receipts and delivery confirmations.
- Ensure compliance with traffic laws, company policies, and safety standards at all times.
- Communicate effectively with the logistics team to address delays, route changes, or delivery issues.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring they are handled carefully to avoid damage.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any vehicle issues to the appropriate department.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Adhere to company protocols for securing and handling goods.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a professional driver, preferably in logistics or delivery services.
- Familiarity with road networks, GPS systems, and route optimization.
- Ability to operate and maintain various types of vehicles, including light trucks and vans.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good physical condition and the ability to lift heavy items as needed.
- High level of responsibility, reliability, and time management.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
