Economics Teacher

Responsibilities:

• Teach Economics to SS1 and SS2 students, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of both subjects.  
• Prepare well-structured lesson plans and teaching materials that align with the school' curriculum and external examination standards (WAEC, NECO).  
• Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and an understanding of real-world economic and business challenges.  
• Guide students through important concepts like supply and demand, market structures, business planning, management principles, and financial literacy.  
• Assess and monitor students' progress through assignments, quizzes, tests, and exams, providing feedback to help them improve and meet learning goals.  
• Prepare students for internal and external examinations, including WAEC and NECO, with a strong focus on exam techniques and content mastery. 
• Incorporate real-life business case studies and current economic issues into lessons to make the subjects relatable and interesting.  
• Promote a classroom environment that encourages active participation, creativity, and the application of business and economic concepts to everyday life.  
• Collaborate with fellow teachers to ensure interdisciplinary learning and consistency across the school's academic programs.  
• Engage in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and best practices in teaching Economics.

Requirements:

• Proven experience teaching Economics at the secondary school level.  
• In-depth knowledge of the curriculum and external examination requirements (WAEC, NECO).
•  Strong communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.  
• Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, engaging, and practical manner.  
• Proficiency in using educational technology to enhance learning.  
• Passionate about inspiring students to pursue careers in economics, and entrepreneurship.
