Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain electrical systems and components to required specifications.
• Conduct site assessments, installations, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions in systems and equipment.
• Collaborate with project teams to design and implement electrical systems for construction or renovation projects.
• Perform testing and inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
• Prepare and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals related to electrical systems.
• Ensure electrical systems operate efficiently and safely, identifying potential risks and implementing preventive measures.
• Monitor electrical installations and maintain accurate documentation and reports for audits and project evaluations.
• Supervise and guide junior technicians or electricians during installations and repairs.
• Stay up to date with industry developments, new technologies, and safety standards in electrical engineering.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure the timely completion of electrical projects.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of an OND in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Proficiency in designing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical systems, including power distribution, wiring, and control systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Experience in interpreting technical schematics, blueprints, and electrical drawings.
• Ability to diagnose and solve complex electrical problems efficiently.
• Hands-on experience with electrical testing equipment and tools.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team, demonstrating strong leadership when supervising junior staff.
• High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
