Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement maintenance programs for electricity generation equipment, including supporting documentation such as maintenance procedures, maintenance instructions, and record forms as well as selection of required spare parts to sustain equipment operation.
• All deliverables with quality, within budget, and on time.
• Experience working in the equipment maintenance and/or commissioning field is an asset
• Experience with operation, maintenance, and remediation of failures of equipment and systems in the power utility industry, oil and gas industry, or heavy industrial environment is an asset
• Experience developing maintenance programs and/or developing/performing commissioning plans for a variety of electrical assets including generator exciter, DC power supply equipment (batteries, chargers, etc.), medium and low voltage AC power supply equipment (oil filled and dry type, transformers, power circuit breakers, disconnect switches, surge arresters, switchgear, power distribution panels, etc.), control & monitoring related components, electrical protection related components
• Reading and understanding drawings and manuals to articulate how a system works how the system can fail and what needs to be done to prevent failures either from a design or an effective maintenance standpoint
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize when given multiple competing assignments
• Good decision making

Requirements:

• Field experience in Power Systems and Equipment maintenance. 
• Knowledge of Reliability Centered Maintenance is an Asset.
• Experience in a Genco or Industrial Plant is an asset
