Electrical Technician

Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components, including wiring, fixtures and appliances.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications to determine wiring layouts and installation procedures.
• Test electrical systems and components for functionality, safety and compliance regulations.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Replace or repair faulty electrical components, such as switches, electrical machines and circuit breakers.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards in all work activities.
• Collaborate with other trades and contractors on construction projects to ensure proper coordination of electrical work.
• Maintain accurate records of electrical work performed, including maintenance logs, inspection reports and service records.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries and electrical hazards.
• Respond to emergency calls and service requests to address electrical issues promptly. 

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an electrical technician with knowledge of electrical systems and equipment. 
• Proficiency in using electrical tools and equipment, such as multimeter.
• Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment spares and maintenance
• Excellent physical condition and coordination
• Higher National Diploma certificate in Electrical Engineering.
