Electrician

Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, transformers and control panels.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and resolve issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Diagnose and repair issues related to power distribution, lighting, and electrical control systems.
• Maintain and service generators, UPS systems, and other backup power solutions.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints and technical diagrams for installations and repairs.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless electrical system operations.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment, following health and safety protocols.
• Uphold strong communication, teamwork, responsibility, and problem-solving skills.

Requirements:

• Education: HND/OND or Trade Test Certificate in electricity
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance and installations, preferably in office buildings, commercial facilities or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to use electrical tools and testing equipment such as multimeters and circuit analyzers.
• Experience in generator maintenance, power distribution, and electrical panels.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail in diagnosing electrical issues.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a professional attitude.
