Job Role: Enterprise Development Manager (EDM)
Location: Lagos, Kano, and Ogun State
Job Summary
The Enterprise Development Manager (EDM) will provide strategic leadership and management to implement the Enterprise Advancement and Support Training Program effectively. This role focuses on driving business growth, job creation, and sustainability for women-owned enterprises through tailored interventions. The EDM will oversee program activities, manage a team, and work closely with program participants, volunteer experts, stakeholders, and collaborators to ensure impactful and measurable results.
Key Responsibilities & KPIs
Strategic Planning and Program Leadership
Lead the strategic planning and execution of the Enterprise Advancement and Support Training Program.
Develop and implement program strategies to achieve defined goals and objectives. KPIs:
Program launched on schedule with all deliverables achieved.
Strategy implemented with >85% alignment to program objectives.
Team performance exceeds >90% efficiency based on project timelines.
Needs Assessment and Program Design
Conduct pre-launch needs assessments, including surveys and interviews, to identify challenges faced by enterprises.
Collaborate with the Program Partners to develop tailored solutions aligned with program objectives. KPIs:
Needs assessment completed within 1 month of program launch.
At least 90% of tailored interventions successfully implemented.
Program Mobilization and Recruitment
Spearhead outreach efforts to recruit women-owned enterprises in creative industries and supported economies.
Ensure participants meet program criteria (e.g., women-owned, early-stage businesses). KPIs:
Recruit >250 eligible women-owned enterprises per state.
Participant enrollment rate exceeds >95% of target numbers.
Program Implementation and Team Management
Oversee the delivery of the 12-day training program (6 physical and 6 virtual sessions).
Facilitate participants’ access to funding opportunities and legal registration. KPIs:
Training sessions completed with >95% participant attendance rate.
100% of eligible participants access N10m FCMB loan/funding opportunities.
Business registrations and compliance achieved for >85% of participants.
Monitoring and Evaluation
Establish baseline data collection, including participant enterprise staff numbers, financial positions, and registration status.
Supervise impact reporting for the Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Lead and Senior Program Manager. KPIs:
Impact reports generated within 1 week post-program.
At least 90% of participants show measurable business growth (e.g., revenue, staff expansion).
Stakeholder Engagement and Partnership Management
Build and maintain relationships with collaborators (e.g., NGOs, FCMB) for smooth program implementation.
Ensure consistent communication with partners. KPIs:
Strategic partnerships established with at least 5 key collaborators.
Maintain >90% stakeholder satisfaction rate (feedback surveys).
Business Development Support
Assist participants in accessing new markets through mini-exhibitions and digital marketing initiatives.
Promote sustainable business practices and social impact integration. KPIs:
At least 80% of participants successfully enter new markets post-program.
100% adherence to sustainable business practices among participants.
Reporting and Documentation
Ensure accurate documentation of program activities, participant progress, and outcomes for reporting purposes. KPIs:
All reports submitted within agreed timelines.
Participant data accuracy >98% in documentation records.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise development, business coaching, or a related role, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory capacity.
Experience working with women-owned businesses or in creative industries is highly desirable.
Certifications in project management, business coaching, or entrepreneurship are an advantage.
Skills and Competencies
Strong leadership and management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proven expertise in coordinating complex programs involving multiple stakeholders.
In-depth understanding of business development, finance, and legal compliance.
Ability to establish strategic relationships with partners, participants, and volunteers.
Proficiency in virtual platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams) and digital marketing tools.
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Strategic thinking and team management capabilities.
