Job Summary
Our Client is seeking a highly organised and experienced Event Coordinator to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of planning and executing events for large audiences, ideally 500+ attendees. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of event planning, coordination, and execution.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Event Planning and Coordination:
- Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to conceptualize, plan, and execute events.
- Develop event proposals, budgets, and timelines, ensuring all aspects align with client requirements.
- Handle venue bookings, catering, audio-visual equipment, and other essential resources.
Logistics Management:
- Coordinate logistics for large-scale events (500+ attendees), including seating arrangements, flow, and guest movement.
- Liaise with security personnel and health & safety teams to ensure compliance and safe event practices.
- Oversee transportation, accommodations, and other necessary arrangements for high-attendance events.
On-site Event Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact on event days, managing staff and overseeing all aspects of the event
- Troubleshoot issues in real-time to maintain smooth event execution.
- Monitor event activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and satisfaction of participants.
Vendor and Budget Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring cost-efficiency.
- Monitor budgets, prepare financial reports, and ensure events remain within financial projections.
Post-Event Evaluation
- Collect feedback from clients, attendees, and vendors to evaluate event success.
- Prepare event recap reports and identify improvement areas for future events.
Requirements:
- HND/Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years in event planning and coordination, with a history of managing events for 500+ attendees.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, as required by event schedules.
- Ability to travel within Nigeria for event setup and coordination.
Skills:
- Strong project management skills and ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a calm demeanor under pressure.
