Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to the specific extra-curricular activity.
- Provide personalized instruction to help students improve their skills in areas such as Chess, Scrabble, Fine Arts, or Robotics.
- Foster creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork through activities like Cartooning & Animation, Short Film Production, and Financial Literacy.
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for physically demanding activities such as Karate or Yoga.
- Teach languages (Chinese, French, Sign Language) in an interactive and practical manner.
- Guide students in technical skills such as Keyboarding, Guitar playing, Coding, and STEM projects.
- Organize events or showcases to allow students to display their talents, such as art exhibitions or film screenings.
- Provide feedback and monitor progress to encourage student development.
- Maintain equipment and materials required for activities, such as robotics kits, musical instruments, or sports gear.
- Promote discipline, cultural appreciation, and the spirit of learning in all activities.
Requirements:
- Expertise and demonstrable skills in at least one of the listed activities.
- Previous experience in coaching or teaching students in the relevant field.
- Ability to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Relevant certifications or training for specific activities (e.g., Karate, STEM, or Language instruction).
- Creative mindset with a passion for fostering talent and innovation in students.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, depending on the school schedule.
- Ability to manage groups of students and maintain classroom or activity discipline.
- Knowledge of safety protocols, especially for physical or technical activities.
- Fluency or proficiency in specialized tools, software, or equipment relevant to the activity (e.g., animation software, coding platforms, or musical instruments).
