Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facility Manager to oversee the maintenance, repairs, and overall upkeep of our facilities. This role requires strong technical expertise, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to efficiently manage maintenance schedules, coordinate with vendors, and oversee budgets—all while ensuring full compliance.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance Oversight: Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities for all facilities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and equipment.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to enhance efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Repairs & Troubleshooting: Respond promptly to maintenance requests and ensure all repairs are completed effectively.
  • Software Implementation: Use and implement maintenance management software to monitor and improve maintenance activities, manage work orders, and track assets efficiently.
  • Vendor & Contractor Management: Coordinate with external contractors, negotiate contracts, and ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Inventory & Budget Management: Maintain records of maintenance supplies, oversee inventory levels, and assist in budget preparation to ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, enforce building codes, and maintain up-to-date documentation for audits.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Required).
  • 5 years in maintenance or facilities coordination, especially in office building maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of facility maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Proficiency in maintenance management software and ability to implement digital tracking systems.
  •  Proficiency in MS Office Suite: Must be skilled in using Excel and Word for data management, reporting, and documentation.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and time-management abilities.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to lead a team and work with minimal supervision.


Remuneration: NGN 400,000 - 600,000


Note: Membership in a professional body such as NSE or COREN is a strong advantage.
