Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of buildings and facilities.
  • Ensure all facilities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee routine and preventive maintenance of equipment, systems, and facilities.
  • Coordinate repairs and resolve facility-related issues promptly.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with service providers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Ensure timely delivery of services such as cleaning, security, and landscaping.
  • Develop and manage facility budgets, including maintenance, utilities, and upgrades.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
  • Plan and optimize the use of space within facilities.
  • Manage office layouts, renovations, and relocations.
  • Implement energy-efficient practices and sustainability initiatives.
  • Monitor and reduce utility consumption to align with environmental goals.
  • Develop and enforce safety protocols and emergency response plans.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and drills to mitigate risks.
  • Maintain accurate records of facility operations, maintenance, and compliance.
  • Provide periodic reports on facility performance and improvements.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in facilities management or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in facility management software and tools.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong negotiation skills for managing vendor and contractor relationships.
  • Budget management skills, including the ability to develop and adhere to financial plans.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities for addressing facility issues.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with staff, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy management principles.
  • Ability to perform safety inspections and enforce compliance measures.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to facility-related emergencies.
  • Leadership skills to manage maintenance teams and support staff.
  • Physical stamina to conduct inspections and oversee maintenance activities when required.
