ABOUT THE CLIENT

Our client is an integrated agribusiness organization that produces and processes agricultural commodities. The company carries out its operations in two separate locations; namely an acquired Agro Park in Umunumo, Ehime Mbano, Imo State and in Kuje, Abuja. It has a fully integrated farm project which includes the following key segments / value chain on its two (2) farm locations; Green House Vegetable Production, Dairy Production and Processing, Snailery, Poultry Production and Processing, Rabbitry, Aquaculture and Meat production, including research and technology.


LOCATION: IMO STATE


Role: FARM MANAGER                                   


Job Summary:


Key Responsibilities:

·        Oversee the planning and execution of crop and livestock production activities.

·        Manage farm staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.

·        Monitor and maintain farm equipment, ensuring regular maintenance and repairs.

·        Ensure optimal utilization of land, water, and other resources for maximum productivity.

·        Implement modern farming techniques and technologies to enhance yield and efficiency.

·        Prepare budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure cost-effective farming operations.

·        Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

·        Liaise with local suppliers, vendors, and regulatory authorities.

·        Develop strategies to improve farm productivity, profitability, and sustainability.

·        Maintain records of farm activities, financial reports, and inventory management.



Requirements:


·        7-10 years of farm management experience, preferably with exposure to large-scale farming.

·        Proven track record of improving productivity and profitability on farms.

·        Knowledge of modern farming techniques, equipment, and technologies.

·        Strong leadership and people management skills.

·        Ability to work well in a diverse cultural environment.

·        Excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.

·        Willingness to work in rural areas and adapt to local conditions.



Educational Qualification


·        Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field is preferred.
