Job Summary
We seek a qualified professional with experience and education in animal science to join MDNI Farms as a Farm Manager. As the Farm Operations Manager, you supervise all the other workers, such as department managers, field workers and contractors. Your responsibilities include monitoring staff, crops, and livestock, purchasing supplies, preparing budgets, and reports, and ensuring maximum profit. You should be able to maintain professional networks and keep abreast of developments in agricultural science. Your duties also include directing major operations at the farm, such as daily animal feeding, Animal body condition checks, Daily animal records updates, cultivation practices, hiring and training of new workers, and contract workers, equipment, and services that are not retained in-house.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Farm Operations Management: Oversee daily farm activities, including livestock management, crop production, and resource allocation.
- Staff Supervision: Manage and lead farm staff, ensuring efficient task completion, providing training, and overseeing work schedules
- Budgeting and Financial Planning: Collaborate with executives to create and monitor budgets, financial reports, and ensure cost-effective operations.
- Livestock Care and Production: Ensure proper feeding, breeding, health care, and general welfare of livestock, including goats and poultr
- Equipment and Maintenance Management: Schedule and oversee maintenance and repair of farm equipment and machinery.
- Biosecurity Compliance: Ensure all farm activities and employees follow strict biosecurity measures to prevent the spread of diseases and protect the health of livestock and the farm environment
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of livestock production, farm expenses, and staff performance.
- Innovation and Development: Stay updated with agricultural advancements and implement best practices to improve farm productivity.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Agriculture, Animal Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in farm management or a related role.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of budgeting, financial planning, and livestock care.
- Familiarity with agricultural equipment and technology.
Remuneration: NGN 80,000 - 150,000 based on experience and qualifications.
