Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Accurately preparing and maintaining financial records and documents.
- Preparing bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements.
- Preparing financial models to forecast business financial performance.
- Performing daily bank reconciliations and reconciling accounts promptly.
- Processing payroll for employees and preparing monthly financial reports.
- Managing various income streams – individuals, funders, companies, etc.
- Ensuring timely & accurate invoicing and proper archiving of financial records.
- Liaising with relevant auditors & consultants to ensure total compliance with all relevant external regulatory agencies.
- Preparing accounts and tax returns; Providing tax planning services with reference to current legislation.
- Auditing financial information, compiling and presenting reports, budgets, business plans, commentaries, and financial statements.
- Analyzing accounts and business plans.
- Financial forecasting and risk analysis.
- Planning, organizing, and executing all financial tasks and projects of the organization.
- Making estimates of funds required for the short and long-term financial objectives of the organization.
- Completing financial reports, leading the month-end closing process, and conducting monthly financial forecasts.
- Developing and implementing plans for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Managing and monitoring financial metrics, KPI tracking, and reports.
- Evaluating the financial performance of the organization and preparing accounting and other required reports and projections based on the analysis performed.
- Coordinating with other relevant units when required to review financial information and forecasts.
- Performing other relevant tasks as may be assigned by your reporting line manager
Requirements:
- Degree in Finance/Accounting or related (essential).
- ICAN/ACCA accreditation (essential).
- 2+ years of work experience as an Accountant (essential).
- Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Tools, and other financial planning software.
