Job Summary
The Fleet Manager will be responsible for managing a diverse fleet of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance, minimizing downtime, and maximizing the cost-effectiveness of our fleet operations, planning, scheduling, and execution of fleet maintenance, repairs, and compliance with regulatory standards, while ensuring safety and all round efficiency.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the fleet, including vehicle procurement, maintenance, and disposal.
- Develop and implement fleet management strategies to ensure efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
- Schedule regular vehicle maintenance, including inspections, repairs, and servicing, to minimize downtime.
- Monitor and manage fleet performance, ensuring all vehicles are roadworthy and meet regulatory compliance standards.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, maintenance providers, and insurance companies.
- Track and report on fleet performance metrics, including fuel efficiency, vehicle utilization, and maintenance costs.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, insurance, and licensing for all fleet vehicles.
- Ensure that all fleet vehicles comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and safety standards.
- Implement and oversee driver safety programs, including training, compliance, and risk management.
- Manage the fleet budget, including forecasting costs for repairs, replacements, and operational expenses.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure fleet availability meets business needs.
Requirements:
- Fundamental understanding of mechanical engineering and experience working with mechanics.
- Proven experience in fleet management or a similar role, preferably in a large organization or company.
- Strong knowledge of fleet operations, vehicle maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with people's management experience.
- Proficiency with fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to analyze and report on fleet performance data.
- Experience in managing a large and diverse fleet (e.g., bikes, vehicles, trucks)
- Experience with GPS tracking systems and telematics.
