Front-end developer (contract)

We're looking for a front-end developer to join our team for a project (ongoing work potentially available). This role is integral to refining and launching our upcoming product.

Overview:

Pawpass is building the first-ever digital ID for animals to digitise veterinary paperwork, vaccine history, and travel documentation. We’re a small team based remotely and at an exciting stage of growth. We're now preparing to launch our product into the market this summer.

We’re seeking a Front-End Developer to help us complete Pawpass's front-end development. You’ll work closely with our design and back-end teams to build a responsive, high-performance web application. The role will be a milestone-based contract combined with ongoing hourly work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive, high-performance web applications using React, Tailwind CSS, and TypeScript.
• Collaborate with our UX/UI designers to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
• Collaborate closely with our back-end team to integrate APIs and services.
• Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that follows industry best practices.
• Ensure front-end code meets accessibility standards and is optimized for different devices and browsers.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues across different browsers and devices.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests for reliable code.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in front-end development.
• Proficient in React, Tailwind CSS, and TypeScript.
• Experience working with APIs and responsive web design.
• Strong portfolio or examples of previous work.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
