Job Summary

To provide care and support services to the school and the campus community, both physical and online, by the delivery of administrative tasks, and efficient and courteous reception, including the delivery of world-class public relations service within the community. The main purpose of the role is to manage internal and external communications for the campus community, raise awareness of the school’s academic excellence and exciting offerings for students, maximize the potential of the number of students that can be admitted by co-ordinating effective admissions campaigns while elevating the school’s reputation within the local and international communities.   You will be responsible for marketing, recording, and communicating all the activities and events of the campus community to students, parents, and visitors to the school campus, and building good relationships with key staff members to identify upcoming events and stories. You will have experience and capacity in collating and curating content for social media, websites, and publications including photography, video, and basic graphic design with confidence in writing, drafting, and editing websites,  publications, and marketing collateral.  You will own the organization’s website, social media, and events calendar and have experience in campaign planning and evaluation. You will have excellent interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders effectively and must be a team player, with a ‘can do’ attitude. You should have outstanding communication skills and personal integrity.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

Branding & Marketing Planning: 

  • Acting as the brand guardian for the community  working with brand guidelines for all digital and off-line communications and platforms
  • Working with the Cluster Marketing and communication team, Community Experience Lead, and Admin Manager to deliver strategies that will create high levels of stakeholder satisfaction and meet the community objectives for admissions. 
  • Project managing multiple campaigns and events and liaising with key members of the school staff Managing the digital marketing for the school and other associated organizations via website, social media, internal TVs, and  other platforms ensuring consistency of branding and messaging across all channels 
  • Managing and updating the media and school calendar including all fixtures and primary events  and being the first point of contact for any enquiries regarding school and community activities
  • Ensuring all signage, display, and printed materials represent the community branding consistently promoting a professional brand image 
  • Keeping the Principal, Community Experience Lead, Admin manager, key staff members, and Cluster Marketing & Communications team up to date with campaign progress.


Social Media: 

  • Developing and managing the community brand’s social media identity. 
  • Managing a social media content calendar. 
  • Creating written and visual content across several social media platforms. 
  • Increasing social media engagement across platforms. 
  • Building and moderating social media communities by responding to comments and keeping members engaged. 
  • Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) — like link clicks, likes, and other metrics—of social media marketing campaigns. 
  • Monitoring and analyzing trends and competitor performance. 
  • Collaborating with local organizations and influencers to improve brand awareness. 


Website: 

  • Owning the organization's website and maintaining, updating, and creating high-quality content for the website.
  • Updating the website with policies in a timely fashion to ensure compliance.
  • Auditing the website content regularly with the Cluster Marketing & Communications team to ensure compliance and relevance. 
  • Ensuring all content on the website is engaging, up-to-date, and relevant to parents and students. 
  • Ensuring the website is an effective marketing tool for the recruitment of prospective students and staff. 


Content & Display Development: 

  • Managing parental consent for the use of students in promotional materials. 
  • Developing a library of high-quality photography and video for the promotion of the organization across a range of digital and print platforms. 
  • Writing compelling content for the website blog, newsletter, and press releases to raise awareness of the organization, celebrate success, and engage stakeholders. 
  • Designing professional high-quality marketing materials to support the communication of key events in the school cycle including admissions, transition, options, and parents’ evenings. 
  • Keeping corridor displays up-to-date working with the key staff members and reprographics to present information in a professional, engaging way. 
  • Liaising with reprographics to produce printed materials in-house. 
  • Editing, proofreading, and improving content supplied by key staff members and external agencies/organizations. 


School Communications: 

  • Utilising relevant communications channels to broadcast communications effectively to different stakeholders. 
  • Ensuring that communication both internally and externally is of a high standard and reflects the values and ethos of the organization. 
  • Working with key staff and the Cluster Marketing & Communications team to develop engagement programs for parents, students, further education, and the local and global community.
  • Supporting any initiatives and projects being carried out by staff and students in the  local community to develop PR opportunities and develop networks and relationships


Events: 

  • Managing events for organisation-hosted events, ensuring good promotion/marketing, and  maintaining a network contact list of external parties and attendees 
  • Evaluating event impact and reporting to the management and senior level team and Cluster Marketing and Communications team
  • Anchoring and assisting in the project management of and attending all public relations and student  recruitment events including Prize giving evenings, Open Evenings, school fairs, placement tests, Prom Nights, birthdays, PTF Meetings and Events, Community events  , and others

 

Other Duties:

  • To operate a Reception Service that promotes a professional image of the community. Duties include:- Processing telephone calls and ensuring appropriate action is taken, Operating standard office equipment, e.g. fax machine, binding machine, and photocopier. etc, Distribution of incoming mail, Administrative support for the Admin Manager, Ensuring that face-to-face inquiries from visitors, parents, staff, and pupils are dealt with appropriately, and First Aid.
  • To undertake Word/Google Docs, files, and other office tools for processing documentation (letters, reports, memos, etc) including collation for documentation packs as required and making layout presentation decisions.
  • To undertake routine online database management
  • To input information into the computer database and to extract information as instructed which may require some manipulation.
  • To respond to routine correspondence from standardized information e.g. acknowledgements and requests for routine information.
  • To assist with the implementation of school administration policies. This could involve checking documents for errors, resolving queries, and inputting of straightforward data into the computer system.
  • To carry out such other administrative tasks and duties as required by the line manager
  • Make bus bookings for excursions and prepare associated student charges, maintain stationery stores, and order new stock as required


Care & Guidance role:

  • Be prepared to undertake responsibility as required for the delivery of the Personal Health, Social, and Citizenship Education  program to the student through:
  • Positive interactions and practices that will enhance spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development
  • Demonstrating a passion and understanding for the School's Learning values and ethos
  • Ability to engage and interact with our students
  • Always demonstrating professional integrity with stakeholders, external agencies, colleagues, students, and parents. 
  • Reporting to the Cluster Marketing & Communications team Lead and engaging in weekly line management meetings. 
  • Attending monthly or periodic Marketing and Communications meetings and engaging in personal training and CPD events to support your role as and when required.
  • In consultation with the Admin Manager and the cluster marketing & communications
  • team,  planning and monitoring the department budget demonstrates a return on investment. 


General:  

  • Attending and participating in meetings as required
  • Working openly within the framework of best practice identified in the school safeguarding policy.
  • Reporting any concerns regarding student safety or staff working practices to the designated Child Protection lead(s). 
  • Keeping up to date with local and national Child Protection training and training requirements.
  • Undertaking other tasks commensurate with the role.

The post holder will contribute to the organization’s objectives in service delivery by:

  • Enactment of Health and Safety requirements and initiatives as directed
  • Ensuring compliance with Data Protection legislation.

Remuneration: NGN 120,000
