Frontend Developer

Responsibilities:

• Develop responsive, mobile-first user interfaces for our WhatsApp-integrated escrow system and web dashboard.
• Collaborate with UI/UX Designers and Backend Engineers to bring product features to life.
• Implement components and flows that work intuitively for users with varying levels of tech experience.
• Optimize application performance for low-bandwidth environments.
• Translate wireframes and mockups (Figma, Adobe XD) into reusable code using modern frameworks.
• Maintain code quality through version control, modular practices, and performance testing.
• Ensure platform accessibility, device compatibility, and a consistent user experience across the board.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our design system and frontend architecture.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as a frontend developer building web/mobile-first applications.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one modern framework (React, Vue, etc.).
• Experience integrating frontend components with REST APIs or WebSockets.
• Familiarity with WhatsApp or chat-based interfaces (Twilio, WhatsApp Business API, etc.) is a plus.
• Understanding of UI/UX best practices and how to work closely with designers.
• Awareness of usability challenges in emerging markets (e.g., low-end devices, intermittent internet).
• Strong debugging and testing skills across devices and browsers.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with cryptocurrencies, blockchain transactions, or fintech applications.
• Exposure to WhatsApp API integrations or chatbot frameworks.
• Working knowledge of accessibility standards and localization for diverse users.
• Passion for building inclusive, accessible technology that bridges digital gaps.
