Sare Health Africa is looking for a highly skilled Full Stack Web Developer with a passion for building innovative healthcare solutions. This role requires expertise in developing web applications that integrate GPS geolocation, artificial intelligence, and medical decision support systems to transform the patient experience. The developer will play a crucial role in designing and implementing scalable solutions that connect patients with healthcare providers quickly and efficiently. You will be responsible for both front-end and back-end development, collaborating closely with UI/UX designers and product managers to ensure a seamless user experience. Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain both the front-end and back-end of healthcare web applications.
- Integrate GPS/geolocation services to provide real-time location-based services for patients and healthcare facilities.
- Implement AI-driven solutions for medical decision support and facility matching.
- Ensure web applications are optimized for high performance, scalability, and security.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create an intuitive, user-friendly interface.
- Work with product managers to align development with business goals and user needs.
- Maintain and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and data protection standards (e.g., HIPAA).
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Conduct code reviews, testing, and continuous integration to maintain high development standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices for web development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2+ years experience in full-stack development.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React or Angular).
- Strong back-end development skills in languages such as Node.js, Python, or Java.
- Experience with GPS/geolocation integration and API management.
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
- Familiarity with healthcare standards and regulations (e.g., HL7, HIPAA) is a strong plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL), RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with AI frameworks and tools like TensorFlow or scikit-learn.
- Prior experience working on healthcare-related web applications.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (e.g., Git).
