Job Summary

This role is critical to ensuring our children receive quality education tailored to their needs, helping them catch up academically and build a strong foundation for future learning. We are a children’s home dedicated to providing care, education, and support for disadvantaged children. Many of our children are starting or resuming school after a long gap and require focused academic attention to reintegrate into the formal school system.

  • Experience Level : Entry level

  • Working Hours : Full Time

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored lessons to meet the diverse academic needs of children re-entering the formal school system after a prolonged absence.
  • Implement the British curriculum effectively to help children catch up academically and build a strong educational foundation.
  • Assess students' learning gaps and develop individualized learning plans to address their specific needs.
  • Teach across various levels of primary education, ensuring an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
  • Foster a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages children’s confidence and motivation to learn.
  • Prepare interactive and engaging lesson plans, materials, and activities to enhance student learning.
  • Maintain detailed academic records, track student progress, and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to provide holistic care and education for disadvantaged children.
  • Support the reintegration process by mentoring children on school routines, study habits, and social skills.
  • Organize and participate in extracurricular activities to support children’s overall development.


Requirements:

  • HND/Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Familiarity with the British curriculum is essential.
  • Proven experience teaching primary school-aged children.
  • Ability to teach across various levels of primary education.
  • Proficiency in creating interactive and engaging lessons.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
