Job Summary

We are seeking to recruit for the position of Gallery Manager for Social Media and Events, a creative and proactive Gallery Manager to oversee social media and event management. The ideal candidate will drive the gallery's online presence and event engagement to elevate its visibility and sales. This role involves developing social media strategies, and managing online sales.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor website analytics and sales performance, providing regular reports and recommendations to improve e-commerce sales.
  • Plan and execute exhibitions and events, coordinating logistics and creating event-related media content.
  • Produce captivating content, monitor analytics, and adjust strategies to optimize performance.
  • Maintain cohesive branding across Hourglass Gallery, Yellowadire, and Picturebox while tailoring messaging for different audiences.
  • Develop and implement a long-term strategy to increase engagement and visibility across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok. 
  • Manage content for three distinct brands: Hourglass Gallery, Yellowadire, and Picturebox.
  • Create and schedule engaging content across multiple social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, and new platforms.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of social media campaigns, adjusting strategies as necessary to optimize engagement.
  • Engage with followers and respond to inquiries, comments, and direct messages promptly.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging platforms, and creative strategies to keep the gallery’s online presence fresh and relevant.
  • Oversee and manage the gallery’s internet sales channels, including Artsy and the gallery’s websites for Hourglass Gallery, Yellowadire, and Picturebox.
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure artworks and products are accurately presented online with up-to-date images, descriptions, and prices.
  • Collaborate on the creation of email newsletters, digital marketing campaigns, and online promotional content to drive sales and engagement.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of proven experience in social media management, digital marketing, or similar roles.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, analytics tools, and content management systems.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a flair for storytelling and visual content creation.
  • Knowledge of the contemporary art market is an advantage.
  • A passion for art and a keen eye for detail.
  • Creativity and innovative thinking.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Analytical skills to interpret performance data.
