Gardener

Responsibilities:

• Perform general gardening duties such as planting, weeding, and maintaining flower beds, lawns, and shrubs.
• Prune and trim plants, trees, and hedges to promote healthy growth and maintain neat appearance.
• Water plants, grass, and trees regularly and monitor for signs of disease or pests.
• Maintain and repair garden tools and equipment to ensure they remain in good working condition.
• Assist with the planting and upkeep of seasonal flowers and crops, ensuring proper care is taken throughout their growth cycle.
• Prepare garden beds, fertilize soil, and apply mulch to maintain plant health.
• Ensure that garden areas are tidy, free of debris, and safe for all visitors and staff.
• Monitor and manage the irrigation system to ensure consistent watering and efficient water usage.
• Provide recommendations for improvements in garden design, planting, and maintenance.
• Assist in general property maintenance and cleaning as required by management.

Requirements:

• Minimum of a Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent.
• At least 0-1 year of experience in gardening or landscaping.
• Knowledge of horticultural practices, plant care, and garden maintenance.
• Ability to operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for creating visually appealing landscapes.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions with minimal supervision.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Must be based in or near Lekki, Lagos.
