Job Summary
We are looking to hire a General Manager who will be fully responsible for the day-to-day management of the business in Abuja, as well as delivering the company objectives in terms of profitability, product, service, brand, and future development/growth. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the business in Abuja, on behalf of the directors.
- Deliver key specified company objectives in terms of profitability, service, and brand.
- Implementation and responsibility for company policy as briefed by the directors.
- Report to the directors on a regular basis.
- Deliver agreed sales targets, working with the Marketing & Sales Manager and team to ensure all opportunities are explored.
- Ensure the operation of the business runs effectively to deliver agreed targets of customer service and satisfaction.
- Ensure the marketing and sales team deliver the marketing plan on time and within budget.
- Manage the team, working with line managers to manage performance and workload.
- Approve and manage monthly/annual staff roasters to ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Monitor staff performance, identify training needs or gaps in the team, and create development opportunities for high-performing staff members.
- Responsible for team welfare and wellbeing as well as dealing with issues of discipline or support.
- Write reports for the senior management, which may include reports on sales performance, profitability, staffing, and operations.
- Deliver business presentations to the directors and other sections of the organization.
- Attend conferences and training on behalf of the company
- Ensure compliance with employment law.
- Ensure compliance with data protection legislation.
- Use a range of office software, including email, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Oversee all aspects of procurement for the company, ensuring the best deals are achieved and cost savings made where possible.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties which may be assigned by the Directors
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role
