General Manager

Responsibilities:

• Drive the company’s strategic vision and align operational activities with long-term goals.
• Work closely with the CEO to ensure alignment with U.S. market expectations and investor objectives.
• Oversee daily operations across all departments, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
• Establish scalable processes to support growth from 15 to 100+ employees within 12 months.
• Recruit, retain, and develop top talent across marketing, design, engineering, and business functions.
• Foster a high-performance culture that emphasizes collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
• Maintain a strong focus on delivering products for the U.S. market while supporting initiatives for African markets.
• Analyze market trends and provide insights to inform product and business strategies.
• Support the CEO in investor relations, including preparing pitch materials and representing the company in discussions.
• Ensure operational compliance with U.S. standards to build trust with venture capitalists and partners.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a General Manager or equivalent leadership role in a fast-growing tech or startup environment.
• Strong background in managing cross-functional teams in diverse geographies.
• Familiarity with U.S. business practices and venture capital expectations.
• Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or a related field.
