Position Overview:

Termii Inc., the leading communication platform in Africa, is seeking an experienced General Manager for Business Expansion & Growth. This role will be pivotal in driving Termii's international growth strategy, managing strategic initiatives, and expanding the company’s footprint across emerging and developed markets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic planning, market expansion, and business operations, with a proven track record of scaling businesses in global markets.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Leadership

  • Formulate and execute growth strategies to drive Termii’s expansion into new and existing markets.
  • Align business growth initiatives with corporate goals and KPIs.
  • Identify and prioritize markets and segments with the highest potential for revenue and user base growth.


Market Expansion Execution

  • Oversee the end-to-end process of entering new markets, including feasibility studies, regulatory compliance, and market positioning.
  • Develop localized strategies to ensure successful market penetration and sustainable growth.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with local partners, regulators, and other key stakeholders.


Business Operations

  • Oversee the operational execution of global expansion projects, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and profitability.
  • Implement and manage processes, systems, and metrics to monitor progress, drive accountability, and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and execution of strategic initiatives.


Partnership Development

  • Identify, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships that accelerate market entry and growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maximize the value derived from partnerships.
  • Build long-term alliances with industry leaders and key stakeholders.


Financial Management

  • Develop and manage budgets for global expansion projects, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to conduct financial modelling, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses.


Team Leadership

  • Develop, and lead a high-performing team focused on business expansion and growth.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to ensure team members achieve their potential and contribute effectively to company goals.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience is highly preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in strategic planning, business development, or global expansion, preferably in the tech or telecommunications sector.
  • Proven experience in scaling businesses internationally, with a deep understanding of emerging markets, particularly in Ivory Coast, Senegal, Egypt, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, or Nigeria.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and remote working environment.
