Responsibilities:
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism in all interactions within the classroom, among colleagues, and with parents.
- Serve as a role model in appearance, speech, and conduct, exhibiting integrity, emotional intelligence, and leadership maturity.
- Reflect the school’s values and mission in all areas of school life with a calm, focused, and collaborative attitude.
- Create, develop, and deliver engaging lessons that align with national curriculum expectations and promote critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration.
- Understand and implement key teaching pedagogies such as constructivism, experiential learning, and play-based learning, ensuring each lesson is structured to support holistic development.
- Submit well-thought-out lesson plans weekly.
- Apply differentiated learning strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners while maintaining academic rigor.
- Bring energy, structure, and innovation to classroom delivery, drawing from best practices in international-grade learning environments.
- Ensure the learning environment is clean, organized, and safe.
- Be responsible for the careful handling and shutdown of all digital equipment (flat panels, smart boards, computers).
- Demonstrate effective class control and a nurturing demeanor while ensuring every child feels valued and engaged.
- Take full responsibility for all classroom assets and manage pupil movement with care and precision.
- Regularly assess pupils’ understanding using quizzes, projects, and formative assessments.
- Track each child’s academic journey, prepare comprehensive reports, and provide timely feedback.
- Maintain clear academic records and submit timely progress updates to the school leadership.
- Manage and monitor all teaching materials, ensuring minimal loss or damage.
- Submit weekly logs detailing classroom resource usage and condition.
- Ensure that all class activities are properly documented and archived, including photos and key milestones.
- Promote respectful behaviour, self-management, and clear rules.
- Monitor and manage pupil safety during all activities, ensuring that no child leaves the school unsupervised.
- Act swiftly and professionally in reporting absences, discipline issues, or parent complaints to the right quarters.
- Maintain open, proactive communication with parents, colleagues, and leadership.
- Draft class newsletters, memos, and weekly reports as assigned.
- Collaborate with team members to plan events, share best practices, and resolve classroom-related issues.
- Support enrichment activities such as school clubs, creative days, and excursions with enthusiasm.
- Attend all school events and support activities beyond the classroom.
- Exhibit attentiveness to the school’s image, ensuring students are properly dressed and represented at public events.
- Collaborate with marketing and admin departments to provide digital content showcasing student learning experiences.
- Model the vision of the school by championing personal responsibility, excellence, and a heart for community.
- Monitor and enforce child safety measures at all times.
- Maintain hygiene standards and report potential hazards or safety breaches immediately.
- Follow ICT safety protocols and uphold all policies related to student safeguarding and wellbeing.
- Take on delegated assignments from school leaders with commitment and integrity.
- Step in for colleagues as needed and work collaboratively to support shared goals.
- Actively seek professional development opportunities to stay informed and grow in competence and leadership.
Requirements:
- Applicant must be a smart-looking, confident, and well-spoken female.
- Must have obtained a degree from an A-list university in Nigeria or abroad.
- Must possess TRCN certification.
- Prior experience teaching Grades 2, 3, and 4 in a reputable school is highly desirable.
- Must understand and implement teaching pedagogy and be skilled in play-based learning, constructivism, and experiential learning.
- A graceful presence, high energy, and leadership acumen are key traits for consideration.
Remuneration: NGN 150,000
