Job Summary

This role is for anyone with a creative mind. There is a 60-day (2 months) probationary period for this position and a portfolio is also required to proceed to the first and second stages of the interview. A fast learner who does not repeatedly make corrected mistakes and attention to intricate detail is a plus. Key performance indicators are set and used to assess performance after the probationary period and other milestones achieved. If you hate procrastination, then this part-time role is for you.

Job Description/Requirements

Roles:

  • Create new flyers for all our social media platforms as required.
  • Understand the resolutions, types, fonts, displays, and all other required or desired specifications for graphics and all other envelope-pictures.
  • Must know how to imitate or duplicate referenced graphics/pictures.
  • Advise on the best graphic to use per experience.
  • Our YouTube is the cash cow - we need the best thumbnail per episode.
  • Provide the best cover for shorts and reels.
  • Knows how to create GIFs
  • Follow closely our social media strategy requirements with an in-demand sense of creativity and market benchmarking.
  • Create written and visual content or copy for various social media platforms, and manage a graphic content calendar.
  • Must have a high sense of integrity in managing company equipment and churning out work.
  • Develop and implement a social media strategy that consistently engages the public (this involves working alongside other team members).
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and collaborators using emails, strategies, and presentations.
  • Relatably design graphics using free picture platforms like Shutterstock or creatively abiding by instructions.
  • Willingness to learn and apply tricks of the trade via free platforms that will be provided to you like Coursera and Udemy.
  • Ensure timely and agreed-upon posts with the highest form of integrity.
  • Practice best in-class etiquettes.
  • Keep a positive attitude, and energy, and be willing to learn and relearn.
  • Design company letterheads and other documents like business cards, or favors.


Responsibilities:

YouTube:

YouTube is the bedrock for this role, not only is it the golden child, but it must be managed like the golden untouchable child.

  • Design attractive thumbnails that will subtly cajole audiences to click
  • Must understand how to use Canva or other free online editing tools to meet specification
  • Understand all image specifications for posts, thumbnails, or shorts, and every other niche within the YouTube verse.
  • Find good end-video photos for the end of videos.

Facebook:

Facebook needs to relocate members to the YouTube channel - in that, you use Facebook as an organic marketing tool to ensure that viewers land on the YouTube page or per that episode.

  • Create graphics for our Facebook with clickable links.
  • Understand the Facebook audience and all the graphic specifications for the platform
  • Must be willing to take free courses to sharpen skills
  • Understand placements and how to use them to increase page views or follows.
  • Schedule posts as contingency measures or a pre-planning process.

Instagram:

Instagram is the fun-happy place for Migration Gist and other companies under St. Alolo LLC- our audience here loves to know about travel, travel agencies, and everything fun and informative about travel or relocation.

  • Understand picture placement and create a content calendar days to weeks before publishing.
  • Give the page a facelift to look professional yet fun and colorful to attract partners and investors. (Must carry out this role side-by-side with Social Media Manager).
  • Understand the unique posting proposition of the Instagram page.
  • Advise on using trending sounds to post relatable images.
  • Design engaging graphics for the platform - Instagram.

TikTok:

What do you think of when you think of TikTok? Learning trendy topics and dances? - If Instagram is fun, TikTok is more fun but we do not want to flail in the wind, we want to use Migration Gist voice notes to populate the TikTok space to have people mimic us and attract other audiences.

  • Understand the graphics (or static pictures) that would tell our best story per time.
  • Advise on the key strategies to adopt and implement
  • Be conversant with TikTok and utilize its key learnings.
  • Other duties as may be required.


X (formerly known as Twitter):

Migration Gist is a talk brand - this means that we love conversations. X (fka Twitter) is the text space for our written conversations with our audience; so next to YouTube, Twitter is a second golden child in line with Instagram. We need to engage in those threads with our Followers and Likers.

  • Create posters or flyers for our bi-weekly Grace to Grass X (Twitter) stories.
  • One approved sarcastic pic-a-day that our audience can relate to
  • Keep it positive always.
  • Graphics or pictures should have links that will land the audience on the YouTube channel.

Apple Podcast:

We wish to give our podcast a super professional lift.

  • Convert graphics to suit all Apple Podcast Specification needs


Requirements:

  • No degree is required for this role
  • 2-3 years of experience
  • Should be adept with using and understanding digital media tools like Canva, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe CS 5 or 6, or a higher specification
  • Creativity is golden - a portfolio is a must
  • Must know how to utilize a myriad of editing tools (including in-app ones)


Remuneration: NGN 75,000 Monthly (benefits are prorated after 9 months)

N.B: As a Graphics for St. Alolo LLC, your roles and responsibilities are all-encompassing and fast-changing. Staying ahead of trends will be a plus for this position.
