A reputable hotel in Enugu is seeking a dedicated Groundskeeper/Gatekeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the hotel grounds, assisting with daytime security, and supporting the smooth operations of the hotel.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities
Grounds Maintenance:
- Landscaping, trimming, and caring for plants and vegetation.
- Keeping the hotel grounds free of debris, weeds, and litter.
- Cleaning and maintaining the swimming pool to ensure it meets hygiene standards.
Gatekeeping and Security:
- Controlling access to the hotel premises during the day.
- Monitoring activities around the hotel and reporting any suspicious behavior.
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies.
- Control access to the property and enforce security protocols.
- Maintain a log of activities, incidents, and irregularities.
Guest Assistance:
- May welcome customers and assist guests during check-in or with general inquiries.
- Provides excellent customer service.
Other Duties:
- Running occasional errands using a motorcycle (if qualified).
- Supporting hotel staff with ad-hoc tasks as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Education: Minimum of Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSCE).
- Experience: At least 6 months of experience in a similar role.
Additional Requirements
- Honest, disciplined, and trustworthy with a high sense of responsibility.
- Willingness to perform additional tasks as needed.
- Polite, customer-focused attitude and willingness to assist guests and visitors
- Must be physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks.
- Ability to ride a motorcycle is a strong advantage.
