Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute the company’s FDI strategy in alignment with overall corporate objectives.
- Identify and secure foreign investment opportunities that align with the company’s business priorities.
- Foster relationships with international investors, governments, and financial institutions to attract long-term investments.
Investment Management:
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and due diligence on potential investment opportunities.
- Lead negotiations on foreign investment agreements, joint ventures, and partnerships.
- Oversee the execution and management of foreign investment projects to ensure alignment with goals and objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Represent the company in high-level meetings with foreign investors, embassies, and trade organizations.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with international stakeholders, including government agencies, regulators, and development banks.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align FDI activities with operational and financial plans.
Regulatory and Compliance Oversight:
- Ensure compliance with local and international laws, regulations, and industry standards related to FDI.
- Monitor geopolitical developments and their potential impact on the company’s FDI strategy.
- Work closely with legal and compliance teams to address regulatory challenges and risks.
Market Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze global market trends, investment climates, and industry dynamics to identify opportunities for growth.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on FDI activities, outcomes, and future plans for the executive team and board of directors.
- Provide recommendations on policies and strategies to enhance the company’s FDI portfolio.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree in International Business, Finance, or an MBA is preferred.
- Minimum of 10–15 years of experience in foreign direct investment, international finance, or a related field, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Proven track record in attracting and managing large-scale investments.
- Professional certifications in investment or finance, such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), are an advantage.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of international finance, investment frameworks, and global markets.
- Expertise in risk management, economic analysis, and contract negotiation.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and investment evaluation tools.

- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans in a dynamic and competitive environment.
